“The Water Is Wide” is a beautiful, harmonically interesting setting of the traditional folk melody for three octaves handbell choir. It is appropriate for church, school and festival settings and offers the ringers the opportunitiy to develop musical expression as they ring the haunting melody which alternates between the upper and lower registers within.
