Intermezzo in A major and Intermezzo in e minor, Op. 119, No. 2 are the two pieces for 3 to 5-octaves of bells in this folio. These intermezzi are adapted from the piano scores, and they offer many challenges for the advanced handbell choir. The ringers must strive for carefully executed dynamic contrasts within the piece. The challenge will involve performing subtle dynamic changes together as a choir while bringing out the melody.
