Description

“Sing We All Noel” utilizes three carols: “Noel Nouvelet,” which is sung to the familiar text “Sing we all of Christmas, sing we all noel”; “Entre le boeuf at l’ane gris,” a traditional French carol, the text of which translates as follows: “Between the cow and gray donkey, sleep, small son: A thousand divine angels, a thousand seraphim fly around this great God of love.” The English carol “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen” completes the trio. All three are combined at the conclusion of the work.
