This is the 6th collection in Martha Lynn Thompson’s best-selling Ring with 6 series. Expanding the 12-bell concept, these pieces use 14-17 bells (C5-C7), all are hymn tune or carol settings, and all can be rung by six ringers without the use of 4-in-hand ringing. A seventh person — perhaps the director — is needed for the simple percussion part. Although the pieces stand alone without percussion, the instruments add much to the nature of the pieces.
