Description

“Promenade” serves as the energetic beginning to “Pictures at an Exhibition”, a musical rendition of ten pictures by Modeste Mussorgsky. Originally written for piano, it has over the years been arranged for various ensembles. Arnold Sherman’s setting includes parts for brass, percussion and organ and is faithful in representing the original’s spirit and flavor. Brass Ensemble is two trumpets, Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba & Bass drum and Cymbals.
