Written by Arthur Sulliva, arranged by Jason W. Krug for 3 to 5 octave handbell choir and optional 3 to 5 octaves of handchimes. Level 3. Combining the well-known hymn by Arthur Sullivan with the famous Trumpet Tune of Henry Purcell, this setting is ideal for ensembles searching for something a little different. After a stately chordal iteration of the hymn, the energy ramps up with malleted bass chords, punctuated with snippets of the Trumpet Tune. As a final verse, the two tunes are played simultaneously, casting each in a new light.
