Description

Written mostly in 10/8, this is an exciting new setting of the perennial favorite Advent hymn VENI EMMANUEL. Featuring melody carried in both bells and chimes, a variety of stopped sounds punctuate the rhythm and add another level of excitement that will keep the ringers engaged and the audience waiting to hear what comes next! The ‘B’ section switches to 2/2 with melody supported by echoed whole notes. This leads into an unexpected key change (always exciting!) which features chimes accompanied by flowing LV bell passages. A return to the opening theme drives forward to a smashing ending! This is a ‘must-have’ for your advanced group repertoire. 107 measures. Keys of c minor, e-flat minor, and f minor.
