David Cherwien wrote the original setting of this handbell version of Let Us Talents and Tongues Employ by William Mathis. The tune is bright and bubbly with lots of syncopated accompaniment to go along with it. Optional maracas and claves bring out the Jamaican flavor of the folk song. The second selection is contrasting in mood and features and has optional four octaves of chimes. Mallet technique figures prominently in the selection.
