Description

A very nice arrangement, with some unexpected twists to keep your ringers and your audience engaged. Joseph Pinson’s arrangement of the favorite hymn begins in 4/4 with the bass and mid-treble bells playing a slightly elongated version the melody while the high trebles shimmer in an obbligato pattern. The upper trebles continue the effect with a syncopated rhythm when the middle bells pick up the melody for the second verse, which is in the standard 3/4 time. The third iteration of the melody returns to 4/4 and utilizes bold chords, a malleted bass line and syncopated rhythms in both the melody and the harmony to build the energy to the end.
