Filled with lovely counter-melodies and the occasional unexpected yet satisfying chord progression, this will be a very nice addition to any quartet repertoire. O Waly Waly is a Scottish folk tune which has a complicated and fascinating history. It was recorded by Pete Seeger in 1958; Joan Baez and Bob Dylan recorded a lovely duet of this tune with the lyrics “The Water Is Wide” i 1964. In 1972, composer Hal Hopson created a lovely arrangement with lyrics taken from 1st Corinthians 13. This is truly a tune for all genres.
