“This song was released in 1979 as the theme song for the film version of the Japanese animation “Galaxy Express 999”.  The lyrics, written by Yoko Narahashi, include the phrases “A never ending journey” and ” A journey to the stars”, which is a message meaning “Let’s live on towards the world”.  The music, composed by Yukihide Takekawa, is rooted in a rhythm punctuated with eighth beat, and is a dynamic work filled with hope that is still loved by many people for more than 40 years after its release.”
