This is a new release for the Fred Bock handbell catalog. This ragtime, Scott Joplin favorite was used in the movie “The Sting” and now the fun has been extended to the bells. Arranger McChesney fills up 100 measures with bouncy rhythms, dressed in all manner of special techniques, full scoring to keep all 3,4 or 5 octaves busy and manageable accidental changes with a tempo marking of “Not fast.” The staccato markings are offered the use of pluck, thumb damp or mallets, depending on the director’s discretion.
