Description

This original composition “Easter Morning Peal” is perfect for a sunrise Easter celebration or anytime a joyful peal is needed. Directions for ringing the 13 bells of the quartet are given in the score. The repetitive melody makes it easy to learn, and the texture thickens as the piece progresses. This sets up an ostinato-like pattern in the upper bells, then adds an undergirding of whole and half note intervals – then reverses it so the lower bells play the pattern and upper bells have block chords – and finally restates the original melodic pattern but adding eighth notes throughout. This quartet is 61 measures in length. Directions for ringing the 13 bells of the quartet are given in the score.
