Description

Based on LYONS and ITALIAN HYMN this triumphant setting includes 3 to 5-octaves of bells and optional organ/brass and timpani. The introduction builds intensity over a pedal point and with chromatic, chordal movement. “O Worship the King” then enters in open texture that thickens up later on to a march complete with a snare drum cadence. The next tune, “Come, Thou Almighty King” enters at measure seventy-two and is presented in hymn-like fashion. Would it surprise you to know that the arrangement ends with a big sound? Ensemble consists of two Trumpets, two Trombones, Snare drum and Timpani.
