The tune “Spanish Hymn” (otherwise known as “Madrid” ) is given a straightforward treatment by arranger D. Linda McKecnhie. The setting begins in G major with an introduction and initial statement of the tune. Following an interlude and modulation to C major, the final statement of the tune is embellished and brings the piece to a majestic conclusion.
