The Historic Jefferson Foundation of Jefferson, Texas annually sponsors a Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes. As a part of that celebration, handbell ringers play in individual homes on the tour. Often these home performances present space problems, which prevent setting up tables. In response to this challenge, James Smith arranged six, 3-4 octave carols that are free of bell changes and require only a stand for the music. Each arrangement is just one verse of the hymn, allowing it to be repeated as necessary; and most are arranged in C Major for easy transitions.
