Description

Composer, Jon Schmidt, was inspired to create this original piano work in celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall. He wanted to recreate a ‘wash’ of sound heard that day from the bells ringing throughout the countryside. The arranger has included many LV passages offset by table mallet sections. The original piano score cautions musicians to keep the repeated notes subtle. Directors and ringers are encouraged to keep LV passages clean and to gently execute the repeated notes. R passages can be rung with a ‘delayed damp’ to make those lines smooth. Add some Shakes and well-placed dynamics for a joyous sound from beginning to end!
