Description

This catchy polka-style piece was written in 1927 by Czech composer Jaromir Vejvoda, while he worked as a bartender in his father-in-law’s pub in Zbraslav, Czechoslovkia. It was an immediate hit and has since become a world-wide favorite. The New England Ringers commissioned Hart Morris to arrange this piece – and dedicated it to The Raleigh Ringer’s Director, David Harris – for their Oktobellfest event in October 2022. It begins in C-major with a segue to F-major. The addition of perfectly placed stopped sounds – Sk, RT, mallets, and mart-lift – plus a few LVs make this piece sparkle!  It is sure to become a ‘must-have’ for your group’s concert repertoire!
