Matthew Prins has taken the most well-known settings of “Ave Maria,” Bach/Gounod and Schubert, and arranged two separate works. Both are included in one edition. The Bach/Gounod version is for 3 to 5 octaves of handbells or chimes. The Schubert setting can be performed on 3 to 5 octaves of handbells with an option of 3 to 5 octaves of chimes. Both are brilliant choices for worship, weddings, concerts, and festivals. The Bach “Ave Maria” is arranged in Eb Major and is 81 measures. The Schubert “Ave Maria” is arranged in F Major and is 65 measures.
