Description

When the handbell ensemble “Bells of the Sound” posted their 2001 Space Theme composition contest, Nancy Hascall responded-and won! Andromeda suggests an experience of travel to a distant galaxy — the ease of weightlessness, the vastness of space, the perils of asteroids and black holes, the splendor of the universe, and finally, drifting beyond space toward infinity. Ms. Hascall uses every means to accomplish this fantasy including optional 3-4 octaves of handchimes. This 166-measure composition is truly “out of this world!”
