Description

This “Andante” is from the 2nd movement of Piano Sonata No. 15, Op. 28. There is good use of bass bells and the treble could almost be rung with only 3 octaves. As this quartet leans more toward the advanced realm of its medium-advanced category, it is definitely not for the beginning quartet. This piece is not scored as for a quartet. It is scored for a regular ensemble. Rhythms of all types abound in this 96-measure arrangement. It is scored in d minor and D Major.
