Based on the Traditional English Carol (Stowey) with alternate title Children’s Song of the Nativity, this traditional childen’s carol uses flowing lines and smooth, legato ringing to create the feel of a lilting lullaby. Dynamics are generally mellow, and the tempo is a calm quarter = 74. The text for the carol (not included) begins: “How far is it to Bethlehem? Not very far. Shall we find the stable room lit by a star?”
