Incorporating 3 octaves of handchimes into its mystical fabric, this original composition is based on a 1901 song sent in for a high school competition in Japan. It soon became famous and has been a favorite ever since. Truly an impressionistic piece, the arranger weaves the “Sakura” melody into the score and includes notes at the end. Set in the keys of a minor, e minor, and c minor, measures total 75.
