Description

This arrangement is a delightful piece for 4-octaves of bells. The word “Badinage” is defined as “playful banter” which is descriptive of the music. The theme is introduced right from the beginning and then shows up in the upper treble register. Dynamics play an important role, changing from subito ff to subito mp. Techniques include martellatos, shakes, and LV; and show up mostly on the last page. A total of 58 measures, McKlveen’s work is scored in G Major.
