Mitchell Eithun’s setting of the German carol “Come All Ye Shepherds” is a rhythmic work that plays on the song’s short melody. The middle section uses suspended mallets and handchimes to offer a tender reflection before returning the driving main melody. This piece is a great addition to Advent and Christmas services.
